Scott Atkins

Primary EMT Instructor

Scott began his career in Fire/EMS in 1999. He started as a Volunteer at Fire Department in Nevada County, CA., where he earned his EMT license, Haz Mat/FRO, Confined Space Rescue, and many other specialized certifications. A year later he was hired as a FF/EMT in the 911 system. After more than 10 years, Scott became a certified EMT Instructor attending a NAEMSE program held in Champaign, Illinois. He was hired as an adjunct faculty member at a private university where his teaching position lead him to the position of Program Coordinator. Having taught well over 1000 students, Scott still keeps in touch with many of them today and will always be there to assist in succeeding in their chosen profession. In his free time he loves cooking, trout fishing, and Caribbean travel.
