194AL-Emergency Medical Technician Basic Academy

This program offers a balanced approach, incorporating hands-on skill-based scenarios along with a conventional academic curriculum. Its purpose is to meet the criteria set by State and National authorities for EMT certification. BATA provides an all-encompassing curriculum tailored to satisfy the essential state prerequisites for Emergency Medical Technician training. Our foremost objective at BATA is to equip students for a proficient performance in the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians examination.

Through a combination of 170 hours of training, BATA will prepare the student for a career as an EMT.

Class hours are as following:

Zoom Orientation 06/24/25, 4pm to 6pm

Academy: 7/1/2025 to 8/21/2025

Tuesdays 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Thursdays 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sundays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

EMT Course Pre-requisite:

The course requires students to obtain a CPR BLS* card prior to the start of their EMT course start date.​  *BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) 

Required Textbook:

The cost of the EMT textbook is included in the tuition. You have the option to pick up your book in-person or have it shipped to you (shipping cost will apply). Please call 800-701-7333 to set up a time for pick up. The cost of your EMT book is included in the tuition fee.

If picking up the book in person is not feasible for you, at the time of registration you will be given the option to have your book shipped to your location for a shipping fee of $24. 

Full Payment vs Down Payment:

*Down-payment must be made first for your chosen course to proceed with one of the following​*
 

  • Flexible Automatic Recurring Payments (Interest-Free Payment Plans): Our automatic recurring payment option allows students to pay for the course over time without incurring any fees or interest charges. To avail this convenient choice, students will need to sign an agreement. For those interested in setting up a payment plan for the remaining course fees, we kindly request you to contact us no later than 1 week before the Orientation date. The payment plans are structured with either weekly or bi-weekly payments starting from the agreement date and concluding by mid-course. The first scheduled payment must be made by your orientation date and be fulfilled by mid-course. 
     

  • Financing Option: $10 application fee - We have partnered with a trusted third-party tuition financing company to provide financing options that span up to 6 months. To check eligibility, students must complete a credit application form (provided after the application payment). Upon approval, financing will be offered at a competitive annual interest rate of 5% to 7%, depending on credit history. If you're interested in exploring our financing plans for the remaining course fees, please reach out to us at least 2 months before the course start date to initiate the application process. Financing Conditions:

    • Financing must be approved two months prior to the course start date (Orientation date).

    • The first monthly payment must be made at least 5 days prior to the course start date (Orientation date).

    • A down payment of 50% of the tuition is required to apply. Only 50% of the tuition can be financed.
