Stay current and maintain your EMT certification with our flexible Hybrid (online and in-person) EMT Refresher Course. This course focuses on a combination hands on skills based scenarios as well as traditional academic curriculum intended to fulfill State and National requirements for becoming a certified EMT.  This program is designed to meet both state and National Registry recertification requirements, offering two options:

 

• 24-Hour EMT Refresher (Includes 24 Continuing Education Hours)
  Perfect for California EMTs needing 24 hours of CE for license renewal.

OR

• 40-Hour NREMT Refresher (Includes 40 Continuing Education Hours)
  Meets California and National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) renewal requirements with 40 hours of CE credit.

All coursework is completed online and at your own pace with 24/7 access. A minimum average score of 75% is required to complete the course and qualify for in-person skills testing.

The hands-on skills session will fulfill both California state and National Registry psychomotor requirements:

1.    Patient examination, trauma patient
2.    Patient examination, medical patient
3.    Bag Valve Mask Ventilation
4.    Oxygen Administration
5.    Cardiac Arrest Management with AED
6.    Bleeding Control and Shock Management
7.    Spinal Motion Restriction – Supine

8.   Spinal Motion Restriction –  Seated

9.    Long Bone Immobilization

10.   Joint Immobilization

1.    Use and administration of naloxone or other opioid antagonist
2.    Use and administration of epinephrine by auto-injector
3.    Use of a glucometer
